My Computer and Technology Experience: I have been an advanced computer user for eighteen years now. I have a bachelors degree in Information Technology / Software Engineering from the University of Phoenix, and a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Penn State University. I have a lot of experience with PCs and Macs (both desktops and laptops), the Microsoft Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8/8.1/Server 2008/Server 2012 operating systems, Braile Notes, Braille Lites, PacMates, Nokia cell phones running Mobile Speak and Talks, the iPhone and VoiceOver, various voice and digital recorders, various programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, HTML, PHP, various software programs such as Skype, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Microsoft Office 6.0/95/97/2000/XP/2003/2007/2010/2013, and in web site development. I am very familiar with the JAWS screen reader (versions 1.21 all the way up to 15.0). I also have PC-building experience. I used to tutor students on technology at the Braille Institute and at Junior Blind of America in southern California, as well as in college and high school. I have worked as a consultant for many companies doing web site administration and development work, technology training, accessibility consulting, and server administration. I now have a full time position in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I can provide training and technical support on: PC basics, JAWS training, Mac/iOS/VoiceOver training, Open Book (any version between 3.0 and 9.0), Windows basics, Windows Maintenance and Security, Internet basics, e-mail with Microsoft Outlook (all versions up to 2013) and Outlook Express, Skype, Microsoft Word (all versions up to 2013), Goldwave, Nero burning ROM, HTML coding, PHP coding, basic and advanced web site building, hardware support, hardware installation assistance, hardware problem troubleshooting, software installation assistance, C programming, C++ programming, C# programming and Java programming.
